Expanding into Navy Shipbuilding

The news segment showcases ND Defense's work to manufacture the helicopter handling bridge crane system for the Arleigh Burke Flight III guided missile destroyer under construction at HII Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

The project marks an important milestone as ND Defense expands its decades of experience delivering ruggedized defense systems into the maritime sector. By bringing its proven manufacturing expertise to the U.S. Navy, ND Defense continues to strengthen America's defense industrial base while creating new opportunities in Mississippi.

A Skilled Workforce Driving the Mission

During the interview, Tim George, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, highlighted the experience and dedication of the company's workforce.

"We have a workforce here that is highly skilled, highly technical, highly experienced. We've been building MRAPs for decades that have been out there protecting our Army and our Marines. Now we're also building products that are going to protect our naval forces as well."

The WCBI report also highlights the economic impact of the program. ND Defense currently employs approximately 200 people and expects to add 40 to 50 new positions as production ramps up.
